Cornelius has a dirt problem the rest of Charlotte doesn't, and it's the lake. If you've got a boat, a dock, or kids who spend July in the water, you know exactly what comes back up the yard and through the door: fine, pale lake sand and grit. Why do my carpet traffic lanes look worn even though the carpet isn't old?

How long will my carpet take to dry?
Usually a few hours. Our truck-mounted units pull most of the moisture back out during the cleaning, so you're not left with soggy carpet overnight the way a rental machine leaves it. That fast dry matters more here than most places — Lake Norman humidity is no joke, and carpet that stays damp too long can wick old stains back up and give mildew a foothold in the pad. Can you handle my area rug and Oriental rug too?
Yes, and we handle them for what they are, not as more floor carpet. A fine wool or hand-knotted Oriental rug shouldn't be scrubbed with a truck-mount wand on the living room floor — the fibers are pH-sensitive, the dyes can bleed, and over-wetting risks browning or shrinkage. Those get the right low-moisture, colorfast-tested handling with the embedded grit dusted out first. Everyday synthetic area rugs are more forgiving and we clean plenty of those on-site. We have dogs and the carpet still smells after we clean it — can you fix that?
Usually, yes. The reason it keeps coming back is that urine soaks past the carpet face into the pad, and sometimes the subfloor, leaving uric acid crystals that plain water and store cleaners can't dissolve. When the humidity climbs those crystals reactivate and the smell returns. We treat the layer where the odor actually lives with an enzyme treatment and hard extraction. Most spots come back to genuinely neutral; if one's saturated the pad over years, we'll tell you straight what cleaning can and can't undo.
Does the spring pine pollen really get into the carpet?
It does, and Cornelius gets coated like everywhere else in Charlotte.
