Metro Steamway is locally owned and family grown since 1988. Brian started as an employee in 1998 and now owns the company with his wife and three girls.
Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 7:00pm. Sundays are reserved for commercial, medical & patient facilities only.
Can you clean any type of fabric?
We identify the fabric and adjust our method — some delicate materials need a low-moisture approach. We always test a hidden area first to keep your furniture safe.
How long does upholstery take to dry?
Typically 4–6 hours depending on the fabric and airflow in the room.
Can you remove pet odor from a couch?
Usually, yes. Odor soaks into the cushions and padding, so we treat it at the source rather than masking it with a surface spray.
Is Metro Steamway licensed & insured?
Yes. We're fully insured and our technicians are IICRC master-certified. We've been locally owned and family run in Charlotte since 1988.
Do you offer any kind of guarantees?
We stand behind every job. It's very rare we encounter a problem we can't solve.

My carpet looks worn in the hallways and stairs. Can cleaning bring it back?
Often, yes. In a family home the greying in traffic lanes is usually ground-in soil, not wear. Hot water extraction lifts it and stands the pile back up, so the carpet looks far closer to new than it did.
Our dog has had a few accidents in the carpet. Can you get the smell out?
Usually, yes. Odor from a pet accident soaks into the backing and the pad, so a surface spray only masks it. We treat it at the source to break the odor down rather than cover it.
How long does the carpet take to dry?
Usually a few hours. The truck-mounted system pulls most of the water back out, so the carpet is dry the same day. In Charlotte's humidity that matters, since a carpet left damp can take on a musty smell.
