- We inspect the tile and grout and point out any deep-stained or damaged areas.
- Furniture and rugs are moved off the work area where needed.
- A hot-water cleaning solution is applied to break down grime in the grout lines.
- High-pressure hot-water extraction flushes the grime out of the grout and off the tile.
- Optional grout sealer is applied to protect the fresh, clean lines.
- We walk the finished floor with you, then finalize the invoice.

Metro Steamway is locally owned and family grown since 1988. Brian started as an employee in 1998 and now owns the company with his wife and three girls.
Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 7:00pm. Sundays are reserved for commercial, medical & patient facilities only.
Can you restore old, discolored grout?
In most cases we bring it back close to its original color. Heavily stained grout can also be sealed afterward to keep it looking clean.
Do you seal grout after cleaning?
Yes — sealing is an optional add-on we recommend to protect freshly cleaned grout and keep it clean far longer.
What surfaces can you clean?
Tile and grout floors, showers, backsplashes, and entryways — plus natural stone and other hard surfaces. We match the method to the surface.
Is Metro Steamway licensed & insured?
Yes. We're fully insured and our technicians are IICRC master-certified. We've been locally owned and family run in Charlotte since 1988.
Do you offer any kind of guarantees?
We stand behind every job. It's very rare we encounter a problem we can't solve.

We have never experienced client dissatisfaction in over 30 years. We stay until the job is done.
Can you clean carpet and rugs in a SouthPark high-rise condo?
Yes. The truck-mounted system reaches upper floors from the driveway, so no equipment comes inside, and we protect elevators and common areas while we work. Rugs are cleaned in place in your unit.
How long does the carpet take to dry?
Usually a few hours. The truck-mounted system pulls most of the water back out, so the carpet is dry the same day. In Charlotte's humidity that matters, since a carpet left damp can take on a musty smell.
Our dog has had a few accidents in the carpet. Can you get the smell out?
Usually, yes. Odor from a pet accident soaks into the backing and the pad, so a surface spray only masks it. We treat it at the source to break the odor down rather than cover it.
